About me
Hi, I’m Jess, a Registered Clinical Nutritionist, I graduated from Wellpark College of Natural Therapies in 2018, and have spent the past 8 years specialising in gut health, chronic disease & functional testing. My approach is holistic, I pay particularly close attention to diet and lifestyle, connecting the mind, body, and spirit.
I believe, without incorporating lifestyle changes and correcting imbalances in the microbiome, diet alone will often fail. The havoc that stress plays on the body, including; high levels of worry, lack of sleep, over or under eating, no exercise or over-exercising can cause high levels of inflammation which triggers the disease process which typically manifests wherever your genetic weakness lies.
My Approach
My approach is not about prescribing fad diets or calorie obsessive counting, rather to educate my clients on how to nourish their bodies with whole foods that are as close to their natural state as possible. Alongside this holistic approach, I also utilise functional medicine and testing to help rebalance the body’s biochemistry and gut microbiome,
Utilising the results from functional testing to ensure I gets to the root of each client’s gut health concerns and implements the correct protocols to achieve optimal health and longevity.
Why I chose this path.

My journey into natural health and nutrition didn’t begin in a classroom — it began through lived experience.
For many years, I struggled with my own health and often felt like I was searching for answers that no one could quite give me. In my twenties, I experienced a stroke, an event that profoundly changed the way I viewed my health and my body. Not long after, I was navigating life with ulcerative colitis while raising three young children as a sole parent. Over time, further challenges appeared, including chronic fatigue syndrome and POTS, conditions that can leave you feeling exhausted, misunderstood, and often dismissed.
More recently, I’ve also been walking the path of perimenopause, another stage of life that brings its own complexities and questions.
Throughout these experiences, I came to understand something deeply: many people feel unheard within conventional healthcare when their symptoms don’t fit neatly into a box. I know what it feels like to keep searching for answers, to try different approaches, and to want someone to truly listen and look deeper.
That search led me to study natural health and nutrition, and eventually to dive deeper into functional medicine. I was drawn to its philosophy of looking beyond symptoms to uncover the underlying root causes of illness. Instead of asking only “What medication treats this?”, functional medicine asks “Why is this happening in the first place?”
Today, my work is grounded in both education and empathy. I understand what it means to live with chronic illness, to juggle family responsibilities while trying to care for your own health, and to feel the emotional toll that long-term health struggles can bring.
Alongside being a practitioner, I’m also a mother of three and a proud grandparent to one beautiful grandchild. My family has always been at the heart of everything I do, and they are a constant reminder of why supporting long-term health and wellbeing matters so much.
My mission is to support others who feel like they’ve run out of answers. Through a personalised, root-cause approach, I utilise functional testing, nutrition, and lifestyle support to help uncover the deeper drivers behind health concerns. My goal is to empower people with knowledge about their own bodies and to walk alongside them as they rebuild their health.
Because when you’ve lived through the challenges yourself, you understand just how powerful it is to finally feel heard, supported, and hopeful again.
